Snider Recreation worked alongside Monroeville Elementary to come up with a structure that would fulfill the dreams of the students. The design was for a large structure filled with twists and turns, climbers, bridges, slides, spinners and play panels.
This structure sprawls out in different directions and has a capacity for more than 100 students. To make sure that the students are flying to new heights three bays of swings were also added to the play zone. The school brought in volunteers for a two day Supervised Install by one of Snider Recreation’s Certified Installers. Our supervisors love working alongside volunteers and seeing the FUN they have during the build.
Snider Recreation jumped into the FUN designing a playground for Northwood Elementary. This play area brought in two structures, 12 traditional swings, freestanding equipment and poured-in-place rubber surfacing that will have the students spinning and climbing like never before!
The freestanding pieces include a balance beam, a double arch climber and lots of spinners, including the Orbitron, Kidforce and Fierce Cyclone Spinners to name a few. The structures are filled with climbers of all shapes and sizes. A few are the agility arc, active apex and odyssey link climbers.
There are 5 slides of different heights, twists and turns. The structures are set apart in different play zones surrounded by a sea of rubber surfacing.
Snider Recreation went to work for Westview North Apartments designing a playground for their apartment complex located in Parma, Ohio. This structure has FUN equipment and playful colors.
The design brought some playground essentials, with a twist! Swings and slides are expected on a playground, added into this structure is a fierce cyclone spinner, a jungle vine and crest point climber and play panels. The little ones will love the duck spring rider, while moms or dads enjoy the bench that is located close by.
Snider Recreation completed the playground installation in the spring, so it was ready for play on the first warm day!
Snider Recreation went to the design board again for Rochester Community Schools. This time it was for a new school playground for Hamlin Elementary. The design that Snider Recreation presented was one that would get the students on the move to having FUN! It also has them stepping out and using Burke Turf for the first time at one of their schools!
Let’s not forget to highlight the play structure, which is age-appropriate for the children. It has a Double Spiral Viper Slide for the students to race down and an 8’ Expedition Climber for the students to reach new heights! Other climbers on and around the school playground are the Power Peak, Leaf and Verto climbers.
A playground isn’t complete without spinning and swinging! For those who like to twirl the design brought in the ever popular Comet Spinner which is great for spinning alone or with friends! Along with the long bays of swings the students will be flying through recess!
Snider Recreation enjoys bringing smiles to the students at Rochester Community Schools with each installation we do. Whether it is a whole new playground, installing playground surfacing or adding in freestanding equipment, Snider leaves FUN behind!
Lincoln Electric wanted to provide a play space for their employee’s children. They came to Snider Recreation with the idea to put in a playground near their outdoor pavilion. The local sales rep worked up a design for a custom playground.
The installation team went to work installing the structure.
The play structure includes the Fierce Cyclone Spinner, Jungle Vine Climber and Crest Point Climber. There are 2 Rock ’n Roll Slides, a Sprocket Activity Panel and a Modern Curved Roof. Next to the structure Snider Recreation installed 2 Arch Swing Bays.
The new outdoor playground has age appropriate activities for all levels of development. Another playground installation Snider Recreation is proud to be a part of!
Miami Township wanted a playground at Miami Meadows Park that would be for everyone. Snider Recreation designed and installed a playground that brought in age appropriate structures and freestanding equipment. Jeff Snider kept the goal in mind to make this a playground not just accessible but also inclusive! Jeff incorporated play equipment that addressed the physical, emotional and social needs of every child. The overall design incorporated inclusiveness throughout with a variety of equipment to open a life of play to children with all abilities.
At the front of each structure is a Welcome Sign showing the appropriate age the equipment is designed for. The younger structure, designed for 2-5 year olds has a balcony, ramps and bridges. The structure pulls in leaf climbers, a rock crawl climber, and a pod walk. Three different Slides surround the structure. And activity panels are scattered below, around and throughout. There is a wall of activity panels located under a canopy where you will find imagination in full swing!
The all-inclusive playground for 5-12 year olds brings in many climbers. Including the popular Twist n’ Turn and Tree climbers. The slides are faster and bring a twist! This one has Viper Slides, Spiral Slide, and a Double Poly Wave!
Free standing equipment includes a Rockit Tunnel, Kidforce Spinner, Orbitron and the Cruiser. The Cruiser has enough room for two wheelchairs and two full benches, which allows up to 12 children of all abilities to play together. There are long bays of swings which include toddler seats and the Freedom Seats along with belt swings.
One thing is for sure, the play space at Miami Meadows has something for everyone, even the child at heart!
Habitat for Humanity has expanded and built a new neighborhood at Fuller’s Landing in Fort Wayne, IN. Habitat realized that the children moving into their new homes would need a place to call their own. Habitat for Humanity called Snider Recreation to develop a commercial playground that would help to complete the community and give it a much-needed kids’ space.
The playground design brought in areas for parents and other adults to watch their children play in a relaxing bench area. But by far, the children’s area is the show stopper with climbers, slides, swings and kid force spinners. All pieces are designed to get the kids moving!
One of the new homeowners in Fuller’s Landing has five children. She also has 8 grandchildren, 6 “honorary” grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She loves to spend time with them and is looking forward to big family get-togethers at the Fuller’s Landing playground. She is just one of the families excited to see Snider Recreation install a new playground in the community.
Snider Recreation loves working with groups like Habitat for Humanity, Make-a-Wish and projects that use playground grants because it helps us all to see how communities can come together and support each other. This playground will be enjoyed by this community and its families for years to come.
The Village of Minerva Park worked with Snider Recreation to create a peaceful environment for a new play structure. The design features many climbers including the coil climber, twist net, and a curved RockIt panel. Along with the climbers are two slides and an S overhead component to keep the kids swinging and sliding throughout the day. Off in the distance are the swings, a picnic table and benches are nestled in the trees that surround the play ground.
Ahoy, mateys! Have you seen the new pirate ship playground that landed at Walnut Beach? The city of Ashtabula and Snider Recreation worked to design this new, themed play area right on the beach. The play equipment, which is designed like a pirate ship, includes swings for adults and children, slides, equipment to dig in the sand and much more. Ashtabula’s city flag flies proudly atop the masts, instead of the Jolly Roger pirate flag.
Ashtabula was able to take advantage of an Ohio Nature Works playground grant to pay for the play equipment, leaving the city with less than 25% of the playground equipment cost. The installation was completed with a team of city workers, volunteers and representatives from Snider Recreation. This supervised installation allowed the city to purchase more play equipment for their fun-loving residents to enjoy.
If you have not had a chance to experience this new pirate ship themed playground, head on over to Walnut Beach and experience the fun…or you be walkin’ the plank, me matey. Arrrr!
