Cascade Hills Country Club in Grand Rapids, MI worked with Snider Recreation to design a play structure that would meet the needs of their members. The installation location was near the Country Club’s swimming pool, so they opted for a poured rubber playground surface.
The play structure pulls in some FUN equipment while getting the kids on the move! They will be balancing across the Sky Pods, racing down the Rock’n Roll and Spiral slides and spinning away on the Fierce Cyclone spinner.
The playground and surfacing installation came out pretty as a picture and was completed in plenty of time for the Country Club to get the pool area ready for the busy summer season.

Salvation Army Cleveland Temple Corp – Cleveland, OH
Snider Recreation has a FUN relationship with the Salvation Army in Northeast Ohio. The Salvation Army Temple Corps in Cleveland works to lift at-risk families, giving them physical & emotional support. Cleveland Temple Corps recognizes the benefit of play for the youth that they are working with. Jeff Snider gave them a few outdoor play structure designs to consider, recommending two different age-appropriate play structures so there is safe play for 2-5 and 5-12 year-olds. Having age specific playgrounds creates space where children can learn and grow together.
The structure for the Early Childhood Area is complete with 2 slides, 3 climbers, 5 activity panels and a shaker roof. These pieces help develop gross motor, cognitive and social skills.
The School Aged Area pulls in both Intensity and Nucleus components. This gives the older kids a blend of traditional and fitness-based equipment. They will get a workout while having FUN and developing balance, coordination, strength and self esteem.
A playground doesn’t seem complete without a few bays of swings. The children at Cleveland Temple Corps will be able to swing their cares away as well. The design they chose brings in 4 swings for the older kids and 2 tot swings.
Snider Recreation also installed benches so the families can gather together and build relationships while watching their children enjoy some FUN!
Playground installations are always are always enjoyable projects, but it is even better when helping such a wonderful organization.
Miami Township wanted a playground at Miami Meadows Park that would be for everyone. Snider Recreation designed and installed a playground that brought in age appropriate structures and freestanding equipment. Jeff Snider kept the goal in mind to make this a playground not just accessible but also inclusive! Jeff incorporated play equipment that addressed the physical, emotional and social needs of every child. The overall design incorporated inclusiveness throughout with a variety of equipment to open a life of play to children with all abilities.
At the front of each structure is a Welcome Sign showing the appropriate age the equipment is designed for. The younger structure, designed for 2-5 year olds has a balcony, ramps and bridges. The structure pulls in leaf climbers, a rock crawl climber, and a pod walk. Three different Slides surround the structure. And activity panels are scattered below, around and throughout. There is a wall of activity panels located under a canopy where you will find imagination in full swing!
The all-inclusive playground for 5-12 year olds brings in many climbers. Including the popular Twist n’ Turn and Tree climbers. The slides are faster and bring a twist! This one has Viper Slides, Spiral Slide, and a Double Poly Wave!
Free standing equipment includes a Rockit Tunnel, Kidforce Spinner, Orbitron and the Cruiser. The Cruiser has enough room for two wheelchairs and two full benches, which allows up to 12 children of all abilities to play together. There are long bays of swings which include toddler seats and the Freedom Seats along with belt swings.
One thing is for sure, the play space at Miami Meadows has something for everyone, even the child at heart!
Countryside YMCA has been doing renovations on their facility which includes a new play space for their little members. Snider Recreation came in and helped the YMCA to develop some play-based FUN!
Installed was an outdoor play structure filled with sound and hands on activity panels and a crawl tube for 6-23 month-olds. Over 1700 square feet of rubber surfacing was poured into place so the toddlers have a soft surface for playing.
Next to the structure is a fun tricycle track complete with stop & speed limit signs, a drive thru and gas station! Imagination will lead the learning as the children will ride up to the drive thru to purchase food, or pull up to the pump to “filler up!” Safety on the road will be taught with obeying the signs.
Snider Recreation enjoys designing age-appropriate play areas for the younger children, who are occasionally overlooked when it comes to playgrounds. This area created for the YMCA will help their little members to develop both physically and socially. Snider Recreation promotes FUN for everyone!
Salvation Army Zelma George Facility – Cleveland, OH
Snider Recreation has a FUN relationship with the Salvation Army in Northeast Ohio. The Salvation Army Zelma George Shelter provides emergency shelter for families with children. They wanted to give a safe area for their families to relax and have some FUN. They built a small courtyard and Snider Recreation came in with a play structure for 2-12 year-olds complete with rubber playground surfacing.
This was a small little space, but we packed in the FUN with this age-appropriate playground! The playground equipment has 2 climbers, 8 activity panels, 2 slides a large deck for children to gather and a hex roof & petal post toppers! West Muskingum Local Schools has a new elementary school complete with a custom designed play space by Snider Recreation! This design was FUN from the beginning! The large area gave Snider Recreation the ability to install two age specific play structures, lots of swings, and a sports area. Climbing, sliding, swinging and playing will bring laughter and so many benefits to the students. Exercise is crucial to both physical and cognitive development and the students will get plenty of it with this play space!
The age-appropriate playgrounds begin with a structure designed for 4-5 year-olds that has a Loop Rung Ladder, Double Rail Slide, and a Horizontal Overhead Climber. The students can even chat with a friend on the other side of the structure with the FUN Phone. The structure is surrounded with different activity panels, like tic-tac-toe and the chimes panel.
The structure for 5-12 year-olds is an Intensity design to get the students active in their FUN. The climbing adventure will take shape with the Wild Web Rope Climber, Dynamic Discs, Limber Ladder Rope Climber, and the Trigon Arch Double Climber. The students will be reaching new heights as they maneuver over, around and through the climbers!
Located between the two structures are two series of swings complete with a rubber mulch playground surface. Swings are a staple on a school playground. They help children develop coordination and balance while providing an engaging sensory experience.
Sports Equipment was added into the large open space. Two Funnel Ball and Tetherball Poles were installed. These games provide hours of entertainment for children of all ages. Last but not least two Basketball Hoops were installed. What better way to spend recess then in a game of Around the World or H-O-R-S-E?
Site furnishings, like benches and tables, were also installed for the convenience of recess aides, teachers and parents as they watch over playtime.
The students will have so much FUN on this new playground equipment, they won’t even know they are exercising!
Snider Recreation was called in to work with the Early Childhood playground for Thrive by Five through Southwest Solutions at different locations throughout Detroit. They were designed to be age appropriate playgrounds for 2-5 year olds.
The structure at ALL SAINTS was designed for agility. Preschoolers can crawl through a tunnel or climb a mountain. They can balance across the Twisting Traverse and Power Pipes while their imaginations have them crossing a river of lava…whatever you do, don’t touch the ground! They can climb and crawl around the apex hole climber too. As they play they are building their upper body and leg strength along with their risk assessment skills. There is a shaded platform, known as a playground shade, where preschoolers can gather and play with the activity panels or race down the Rock’n Roll Slide!
Play is an important part of developing motor skills in preschoolers. It is through play that they develop balance and coordination. It is through play that they develop social skills. It is through play that the child builds confidence and friendships. We at Snider Recreation help childhood centers design and install play structures that meet the needs of the budding minds and bodies, where imaginations can go wild.
